Florence’s silver screen Odyssey


Last year, Florence + the Machine accompanied their chart topping album How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful with a series of artistic music videos. This week saw the videos were creatively linked together in a short film project The Odyssey. Florence and the Machine completed their short movie by releasing the final chapter, The Third Eye.

PJ Harvey scores her first chart topper


PJ Harvey has scored her first UK number one with her ninth studio album, The Hope Six Demolition Project, completing an albums and single chart double for her label Island who are also celebrating the number one single with One Dance from global superstar Drake.

Secret 7" 2016 opens its doors


Secret 7, the Universal Music-backed project that combines music and art for a good cause, opened its doors for 2016 at Sonos Studio last weekend. This year, tracks by Chvrches, Tame Impala, Etta James, John Lennon, Max Richter, Jack Garratt and The Jam were pressed on vinyl, with creatives from around the world creating 700 unique designs for the sleeves.

Years & Years' fast track to arenas


Last week saw Years & Years play their biggest headline show to date at Birmingham’s Barclaycard Arena. Olly, Emre and Mikey end their run of UK shows at Wembley Arena, playing to over 12,000 fans – over 10,000 more than fit into the intimate setting of Shepherd's Bush where the Polydor band started their whirlwind 12 months.
