After a busy festival run this summer, performing at Boardmasters, Kendal Calling and Glastonbury, Kiko Bun will be taking his party vibes to Notting Hill Carnival, Europe’s biggest street party. Not only will he be taking over the biggest billboard at Notting Hill, he will also be performing live across the weekend.
Kiko will join forces with drum and bass DJ and producer Shy FX, for a special performance on bank holiday Monday. Kiko, who recently featured on Shy FX’s newest track Honey, will also be performing at Island Life’s Carnival Party, joining the likes of dancehall legends The Heatwave to play a two-day session at the heart of the carnival.
Kiko’s contemporary take on reggae has attracted a steadily-growing fan base since the release of Sticky Situation at the beginning of the year. Current single Can't Hold Back was released in time for the summer and is a perfect tune for carnival. Last month, he was in Cuba shooting the music video for Can't Hold Back as well as recently announced single Sweetie. Kiko's marketing manager at Island Guillermo Ramos says, "Can't Hold Back is the perfect follow up from Sticky Situation, and the perfect set up for new single Sweetie."
Kiko has been sharing remixes from an exciting bundle which will be released this week in time for Carnival. Earlier in the week, he shared a remix from Alan Adair, who remixed his track Sweetie, on his Twitter account. The remixes will also be available on Spotify.
With a reputation for making music perfect for house parties, Kiko recently posted on Twitter that perform live for one of his fans. For those not lucky enough to have him perform in their front room, there will be another chance to see him live as he performs a headline show on September 28 at Electrowerkz in London.
